Module Description
This module adds the Generic media source for the media module in Drupal 8 core.
The Generic source used to be provided by the media_entity module. When media_entity was moved into Drupal 8 core, the generic media source support was dropped. This module mainly fills the gap for existing sites implementing the generic source.
Please do not use this module for new sites. The media module in Drupal 8 core relies heavily on the source field to identify media items.
