Adds support for alternative calendar systems to Drupal.
Features
* Pop Up Widget
* 7.x branch: integrated with JQuery Calendar
* 8.x branch: bundled with babakhani@github:PersianWebToolkit.
* 9.x branch: Same as 8.x
* 7.x branch:
* Multi-calendar, localized date API.
* A #calendar_system form element.
* Hooks for adding new custom calendar systems.
* Possible to introduce new calendar as plugins.
* Optional (recommended) patch for 7.x #1178342: Allow contributed modules to alter the format_date() function result.
* 8.x branch:
* Multi-calendar, localized date API (_calendar_system_factory()).
* Form elements provided by core.
* Possible to introduce new calendar as plugins.
* No need to patch Drupal for 8.x and 9.x.
* Supported modules: Scheduler, Better Exposed Filters, Views, Date (d'oh!), Webform, Full Calendar, Views Date Format SQL.
* Supported calendars: Jalali, Iranian, Thai, Hijri, Hebrew, Gregorian.

That's why we merged Datex into Calendar Systems. Similar Projects: Datex now merged into Calendar Systems 8.x and onwards. Hijri: supports node authored on dates only. Taarikh (Hijri): a field formatter and widget. persiantools has a Persian calendar.
