Module Description
This module is a dependency of Search API Federated Solr, but is also usable on its own. It provides new field options on Search API indexes:
* The "Mapped field" field can be used to aggregate data from different entity types into the same field in the search index.
This is similar to the "Aggregated field" provided by Search API, but gives more direct, token-based control over the values for different entity types.
* The "Mapped terms" field can be used to assign "mapped term" values to any taxonomy term entities within a given site.
The Drupal 7 version of Search API Federated Solr has this functionality built in, but the code from the D8 version has been split out here for reuse in other applications. For this functionality in D7, see Search API Federated Solr.
Which version should I use? Search API Field Map 3.x is the current and stable release. It should be compatible with all versions of Search API, and it is required by Search API Federated Solr 3.x.
The 1.x branch is for legacy users of Search API Federated Solr 1.x. It will not be made compatible with Drupal 9, so users are encouraged to upgrade.
